Regular guests tell us
Who learned to ski in the Diemtigtal?
Our regular guests love to talk about how they learnt to ski in the Diemtigtal (Diemtig valley) many years ago. A fact that makes us really happy. Thanks to the team at the Swiss Ski School Diemtigtal, a new generation of skiers is guaranteed. The instructors help you learn the correct technique, gain confidence, and enjoy winter sports. The ski school mascot Snowli accompanies little ones when they’re practicing their first turns on the nursery slope. Higher levels are taught according to the Swiss Snow League system.
The ski school has three locations in the Diemtigtal (Diemtig valley), each with its own attractions. Find out which one suits you best:
The beginners’ area Swiss Snow Ski Village with its ski lift lies right next to the Kinderskilift Egg (Egg button lift). This is the place where little ones do their first turns on snow. The button lift with its blue slopes and varied terrain is the next level in your learning progress. More advanced learners take the chairlift to reach the > winter sports area Grimmialp. At Grimmialp everything is easy to reach and close to the button lift and the chairlift: parking spaces, the snow playground «Schlaraffenland» (land of milk and honey), and the restaurants with their sun terraces.
Ski lessons are available in groups or as private lessons, snowboarding only as private lessons.
The various children’s lessons offered by the ski school at Springenboden are very popular. Many children have learned to ski right here. The beginners’ area at Springenboden is centrally located directly at the children’s lifts and the Spielparadies (snow playground). From the nearby sun terraces of the two restaurants, parents can observe the hustle and bustle at the beginner’s area. The rope tow completes the > offer of the Springenboden winter sports area for beginners and advanced snow-lovers.

Little ones make their first turns accompanied by Snowli, the ski school mascot. Parents can enjoy watching their children progress from the sun terrace of the nearby restaurant.
More advanced learners can explore the > winter sports area Wiriehorn, which can be reached by chairlift.
