Reach us easily by train and PostBus
Arrival by public transport requires some planning. Take the Regio-Express Lötschberger (regional train) from Bern to Oey-Diemtigen railway station. Once per hour you can even do this journey without changing trains in Spiez.
The PostBus circulates from Oey towards Grimmialp and stops along the valley road, the village of Diemtigen and Allmiried. Our recommendation: check the > PostBus timetable before starting your journey because the PostBus circulates with a low frequency.
What you can do if your destination is not close to a PostBus stop?
Not every accommodation and starting point for excursions is located near a PostBus stop. But for some of them, there are other options. All other places are accessible only on foot.
This bus service started in the winter season 2018/19 and brings you comfortably from the PostBus stop Zwischenflüh, Seebergstrasse up to Meniggrund as well as to the starting points in-between for your snow tours.
Information Snow touring bus MeniggrundAt Oey-Diemtigen railway station there’s a Mobility car. Take this Skoda Octavia for visiting the valley and surroundings. The car is equipped with a ski rack during winter.
Click & Drive for a one-time Mobility serviceA VW Id.4 GTX is parked at the Raiffeisenbank at Diemtigtalstrasse 22 in Oey and can be hired using the edrive app. The electric car, which runs purely on solar power, is ideal for your excursions in the Diemtigtal Nature Park.

Travelling by private car
A car is certainly the most flexible way to travel to and within the Diemtigtal (Diemtig valley). Please consider that to access some roads, especially up in the mountains, you need a permit. At the > tourist office we are happy to give you more information and we sellt the most popular permits too.
