Mountain Restaurant / Alphütten
regional cuisine

The Seeberg mountain restaurant is a family business with alpine farming at 1800 m above sea level.

The new restaurant reopened in autumn 2021 and offers a small but fine menu. Reservations are not required for day guests.

Alpine cheese, mutschli and dried beef sausage can be bought directly on the alp.

The «Seeberghütte» was built in 1808. The Abbühl family is the 6th generation to run the alpine and summering business. Since 2003, the Seeberg restaurant has been an integral part of the business and it is hard to imagine life without it. The mountain hut with its residential building, cheese dairy and pub burnt down completely in September 2020 due to an electronic defect.
