On a varied > alpine hike from the Wiriehorn valley station through shady mountain forests up to the Chilchflue and on to the Tschuggen alp you can breathe in the refreshing alpine air. Once you have arrived at Tschuggen with the Wiedmer family, a wide variety of alpine muesli and delicious alpine cheese await you for tasting. After an enjoyable stay under the majestic sycamore next to Wiedmer's Tschuggenhütte, you make your way back to the Wakkerdorf Diemtigen and onwards back to Oey well fortified.
We recommend the hike in combination with our post bus. If you are travelling by car, it is best to leave it in Oey and take the Postbus to the Wiriehorn valley station.

The Alpine Cheese Hike Tschuggen can be booked online from June until mid September online via our > Shop or on request at the office of the Diemtigtal Nature Park. The offer can also be booked for larger groups than 20 people if requested in good time.

Train, Bus & Co:
Take the train to Oey-Diemtigen station (Spiez-Zweisimmen line). From here, continue by postbus to the starting point of the hike at the «Riedli, Talstation Wiriehorn» stop.
Car:
Motorway A6 Bern direction Zweisimmen, 1 km after the Simmenfluhtunnel turn left direction Diemtigtal. Follow the Diemtigtalstrasse into the valley for 3 km to the village of Oey. Approx. 500 m after the village entrance there is a free parking on the Oey market square (shortly after the Hotel Hirschen). From here, we recommend taking the Postbus from the «Oey, Marktplatz» stop to the starting point of the hike at the «Riedli, Talstation Wiriehorn» stop.
