The alpine family will give you an insight into life on the alp and you will realise that cattle breeding is not just a hobby, but that it also affects the health of the animals and the quality of the raw products. And it is precisely this quality that you will experience for yourself on site: A delicious aperitif with products from the alp and a hearty Älplerz lunch await you.
You can buy fine products such as alp cheese, mutschli, raclette cheese, goat cheese, dried meat and dried beef sausage directly from the alp to take home. Did you know that goat's cheese from brown goats is supposed to taste particularly good? Tip: Be sure to try it at Hösel.

Directions & Parking facilities
By train to Oey-Diemtigen station (Spiez-Zweisimmen line). Continue by Postbus to the «Horboden, Chirel» stop. From here Alp Hösel can only be reached on foot (approx. 5.5 km, hiking time 2 hrs. 10 min.).
Car:
Motorway A6 Bern direction Zweisimmen, 1 km after the Simmenfluh tunnel turn left direction to Diemtigtal. Follow the Diemtigtal road into the valley for 8 km to Horboden. Turn left here and follow the sign «Springenboden» for 6 km to the restaurant Springenboden. The road leads you straight on, also at the next junction. After a good 1 km turn right and follow the road for 1.5 km to Alp Hösel.
