The alpine family will give you an insight into life on the alp and you will realise that livestock farming is not just a hobby, but that breeding also has an impact on the health of the animals and the quality of the raw products. You can experience this quality for yourself on site: A delicious aperitif with products from the alp and a hearty alpine lunch await you.
After a tour of the alp, you will have the opportunity to help with the work yourself. Depending on the season, what you feel like doing and what you need, this could be making cheese (Mutschli), helping with pasture maintenance or preparing wood in the autumn.
You can buy fine products such as alp cheese, Mutschli, raclette cheese, goat cheese, dried meat and dried beef sausage directly from the alp to take home with you (if the full range is not available on the alp, you can also buy them on the way home from the self-service fridge in the Schwingerpavillon at Springenboden).
Tip: Did you know that the goat's cheese from the brown goats tastes particularly good? Be sure to try it at Hösel!
